Once again, a wonderful stay, and there have been many (10 years in a row). Bill, thanks again for the snowmobile tour and Cathy, your touches make this place feel more like home than just a place to rest my weary body. See you next season

i stayed here a year ago last MAR. it was awesome. Bill and Cathy are great hosts. everything is done on the honor system (meals, snowmobile rides, ect)use the the ski shop on the edge of town, (heading toward Copper)they were extremely friendly also. if you're looking for a plce off the beaten path, that does business the way business should be done, then stay here. you will not be disappointed.

Just want to thank Wild Bill and his lovely wife Kathy for the most wondful stay in July 07. I was there for 6 days and felt like family. The Hostel is warm, friendly, comfy, clean and food was great! I returned to Leadville a few weeks later for the Leadville Trail 100 but unfortunately could not stay in the Hostel :-( they were full. Even though you may not be staying there, you will be welcomed in to eat or clean up or just get in out of that wonderful Leadville weather. I enjoyed my stay so much that I have reserved my room for next year's Leadville race. I'll be back :-) Thanks again, you two are special, Jan

This hostel is a needle in a haystack. I had a truly amazing experience. Felt more at home than I do at home. Bill and Kathy were hospitable in every way, doing anything to make guests as comfortable as possible.

This was the best. Great Southern hospitality, interesting guests, great rates, and excellent food!
I brought my two sons skiing, 13 and 16, it was a great environment for all of us. Bill was able to get us some great rates on lift tickets and the skinny on where to play in Leadville. Hopefully, at least one of my sons will be back to train for cross country season during the summer with world class athletes.
If you like something affordable and fun this is it.
Thanks Wild Bill and Cathy for a great Christmas!

Bill and Cathy were absolutely amazing with kids, even concerning some initial medical concerns with my son regarding altitude sickness, Cathy did everything she could to help, and it worked. From there, we spent 2 wks, and what a great experience for an 8 yr old!! From responsibility, to social interaction skills, to just plain fun.... these guys are great. We will be back again next summer if not sooner. I highly recommend having kids travel in this way vs. "fancy" hotels etc.... they meet cooler people, have more responsibility, and fine tune their social skills with all sorts of people of all ages, from around the world. What else could be more important in a child's education. Plus Bill can Cook some awesome meals (as well as Cathy)!!! Thx for everything guys.

This was our second stay at the world's best hostel! It's such a wonderful yet affordable oasis for weary travelers, especially us trail-worn hikers!
Thank you for providing all the hospitality, the rewarding experience of being in the midst of so many interesting people and such a comfortable and aesthetic atmosphere. We'll be back again, and again, and again!

The Leadville Hostel is easily the most comfortable place I have ever lodged in during forty years of personal and corporate travel here and abroad. Bill and Kathy are gracious hosts who understand the needs of their guests and accomodate them in every way. I look forward to many more stays with them.

Leadville Hostel is a a gem, a great retreat. Bill and Kathy are the very best hosts, and have become good friends. We feel right at home-away-from-home. We have been coming here a couple times a year for several years, now, and bringing guests with us. It's always a delight to stay here. If you are into formalities and highbrow, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for down-home hospitality and meeting interesting folk, try the Leadville Hostel.

I've brought groups to Leadville ranging from 10 to 40 people over the last 4 years and cannot imagine a better time, better value, and better place.
Whether it is summer or winter, the greatest in Colorado outdoors is steps away, and Wild Bill & Cathy provide a homey welcoming environment.
The Leadville Hostel rocks.
